Rotary's Global Reach
Rotary International brings together 1.4 million neighbours, friends, and community leaders in over 200 countries and geographical areas. Through Rotary clubs like ours in Dover, members work locally and connect globally to tackle the world's most persistent challenges.
Areas of Focus
Rotary directs its efforts through seven areas of focus: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water and sanitation, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment.
End Polio Now
Since 1985, Rotary has contributed more than $2.7 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect nearly 3 billion children in 122 countries from polio. Today, polio remains endemic in only two countries — a testament to what Rotarians can achieve together.
The Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Foundation transforms gifts into service projects that change lives. Dover Rotary Club members support the Foundation through regular giving and participate in district and global grant programmes that fund humanitarian work worldwide.
How Dover Contributes
Our club has supported international projects including school supplies for communities in Nepal, shelter kits for disaster relief, and vocational training grants through District 1120. We encourage members to host exchange students and to visit partner clubs when travelling abroad.
